SOUTH KOREA, HL/DS. Bae, HL3ADI, says the HL prefix has been
substituted with DS. The new call areas assignment is:
0 = Club Station
1 = SEOUL Capital Area
2 = South Area (KYUNG KI & KANG WON)
3 = Central Aerea (TAEJON CITY & CHUNGCHUNG)
4 = South West Area (KWANGJU CITY & JEONLA)
5 = South East Area (PUSAN,TAEKU CITY & KYUNGSANG,JEJU)
8 = Reserved to KOREA AMATEUR RADIO LEAGUE (KARL)
9 = Reserved to Military stations (U.S.)
MONGOLIA, JT. From 23 to 31 August the Japanese UNICEF Ham Club will
be active with several special callsigns, e.g. JU1HC on all bands
(WARC included) on CW, SSB and RTTY. The team is composed of JA2SWJ,
JI2IYZ, JA3ULS, JH3GAH and JR3WXA. QSL via JAPAN UNICEF HAM CLUB.
MONACO, 3A. Angelo, W5KSI talking with Mike W5ZPA in reference to the
3A operation reports that Mike was able to get SSB and CW for a few
contacts. Africa and Europe was heard/worked only. No Stateside
signals were heard by him. As for the RTTY gear, when Mike got to the
station the TNC didn't have cables ready. He made cables able to
receive ok, but unable to transmit.
VATICAN, HV. Joe, I0AOF will be on this weekend signing HV3SJ.
MOUNT ATHOS, SV/A. Apollo, SV2ASP/A has been active on RTTY with the
help of Dominik, DL5EBE which has been there as a guest. We wish more
activity from now on. QSL to Monk Apollo, Dochiarion Monastery, 63087
Dafni, Mount Athos, Greece.
